Grilled Pound Cake with Grilled Bananas and Red Wine Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 6 slices pound cake, 1/2 inch thick
 Butter1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted
 3 firm bananas, peeled and cut in half lengthwise
 Dry red wine1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (For the Red Wine Sauce)
 Sugar1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (For the Red Wine Sauce)
 Cinnamon stick1/4 (For the Red Wine Sauce)
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm) (For the Red Wine Sauce)
 Arrowroot 1 Teaspoon (For the Red Wine Sauce)
 Juice of 1 orange

Directions

Light a fire in a charcoal or gas grill.
To MAKE THE SAUCE:
In a small, heavy saucepan, combine the red wine, sugar, cinnaftnon, and clove.
Bring to a boil.
Combine the arrowroot and orange juice and stir into the red wine mixture.
Continue to cook over medium heat until thickened.
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Brush the pound cake on both sides with butter and grill for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until lightly colored.
Brush the bananas with butter and grill them for about 30 seconds per side, or until lightly colored.
Place each slice of pound cake on a dessert plate.
Top with a banana and vanilla ice cream and drizzle with the red wine sauce.
