Recipe Story

Growing up in the Sacramento Valley, asparagus was abundant and one of my favorites. This is a preparation that has become a family favorite and is always a big hit, as I hope it will be when you serve it to your family and friends.


 Asparagus1 Pound
 Olive oil1 Tablespoon
 Kosher salt To Taste
 Black truffle oil2 Tablespoon
 Finely grated lemon zest1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Lemon1⁄2 , juiced

1. Wash and trim the asparagus. Toss with olive oil and salt.

2. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Place the asparagus in a grill basket or a fish rack. Cook for a few minutes on each side until the asparagus is marked and tender. Remove from the grill and place in a baking dish. Drizzle with truffle oil and lemon juice. Place on a serving platter and garnish with the lemon zest.
