 Ground onions4 Cup (64 tbs)
 Ground cabbage4 Cup (64 tbs)
 Green peppers12 , ground
 Red peppers6 , ground
 Salt1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Sugar6 Cup (96 tbs)
 Ground green tomatoes4 Cup (64 tbs)
 Celery seed1 Tablespoon
 Mustard seed2 Tablespoon
 Turmeric1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Vinegar4 Cup (64 tbs)
 Pickling salt1 Cup (16 tbs)


Sprinkle vegetables with salt; let stand overnight.
Drain; rinse with cold water.
Combine remaining ingredients and 2 cups water; bring to a boil.
Add vegetables; bring to a boil.
Stir well; do not simmer longer than 2 minutes.
Seal in sterilized jars.
Yield: 8 pints.
