Green Pea Soup Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1 small clove garlic, crushed
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. curry powder
Dash pepper
3/4 cup water
12-oz. pkg. frozen green peas
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup light cream
Salted whipped cream
Chopped chives
Directions
Combine onion, celery, garlic, chicken bouillon cube, salt, sugar, curry powder, pepper and water in saucepan.
Heat to boiling, turn down heat, cover and simmer 8 minutes.
Add frozen peas, bring back to a boil quickly breaking peas apart with a fork if necessary.
Turn down heat, cover and simmer 3 or 4 minutes or just until peas are tender.
Pour half of mixture at a time into glass of blender and whirl until smooth.
Return pea mixture to saucepan if serving hot.
Heat milk and light cream to scalding and stir in.
Serve immediately topped with a dab of salted whipped cream and a sprinkling of chives.
Chill pea mixture if serving cold.
