GREEN BEANS WITH WATER CHESTNUTS Recipe

Ingredients
2 packets frozen cut beans
2cups milk
1-8 oz. can water chestnuts
3 tblspn, flour
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
salt, pepper
1 cup French fried onions
3 tblspn, oil
1/2 cup chopped celery
Directions
Fry onions in oil.
Remove and set aside.
Saute chopped celery in the oil until tender then add flour and seasonings.
Add milk slowly and cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
Grease 11/2 quart casserole and arrange cut beans and sliced water chestnuts in 2 layers, topping each layer of water chestnuts with half of the sauce and Parmesan cheese.
Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
Remove cover and sprinkle with French fried onions.
Bake for further 10 minutes or until onions are crisp.
