Green Beans With Tomato Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
 
1 small clove garlic, minced
 
1/4 cup butter or margarine
 
1 tablespoon lemon juice
 
2 medium ripe tomatoes, cut in pieces
 
1 tablespoon brown sugar
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
1/8 teaspoon pepper
 
1/2 teaspoon oregano
 
1 Ib. fresh green beans, cut diagonally in 1 in. pieces, cooked, and drained

Directions

Cook onion and garlic in butter in a skillet 3 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients except beans and heat thoroughly.
Toss tomato mixture and hot beans together.
Serve immediately.
