Green Beans Supreme Recipe

Ingredients
2 lbs. whole green beans or 2 (10-oz.) pkgs. frozen whole green beans
2 cups sliced mushrooms (2 lbs.)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove crushed
2 Tb. butter or margarine
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Snip both ends from 2 lbs. whole green beans and cook in boiling salted water until just tender about 3 to 5 minutes or, cook 2 (10-oz.) pkgs. frozen whole green beans according to directions, but for only half the cooking time.)
Drain well.
In a skillet, saute 2 cups sliced mushrooms, 1/2 cup chopped onion and 1 garlic clove, crushed, in 2 tablespoons butter or margarine until tender.
Stir into drained beans, together with 3/4 cup sour cream, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Turn into a 2-qt. casserole and sprinkle top with a mixture of 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 350°, or until top is bubbly and golden.
