Green Tomatoes Recipe
Ingredients
| Cornmeal | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 teaspoon each:garlic powder and dried sage | ||
| 3 large green tomatoes,cut into 1/2-inch slices | ||
| Peanut oil, for brushing grill | ||
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Mix cornmeal with garlic, sage, salt, and pepper.
Spread on a flat plate.
Dust both sides of green tomato slices with flavored cornmeal.
Preheat stovetop grill.
Brush grill surface lightly with oil.
Cook tomato slices over medium-high heat about 1 to 2 minutes per side.
Turn tomatoes once during grilling.
Tomatoes will be crusty on the outside and warm on the inside.
Remove tomato slices to serving plate.
Sprinkle with minced parsley
