Green Tomato And Apple Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
| Green tomatoes | 2 Cup (16 tbs), cut into pieces | |
| Green apple | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green onions | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Celery salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Hot pepper | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cider vinegar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Red tomato | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Sweet red pepper | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon |
Directions
– Sprinkle green tomatoes with salt and drain in a colander for 12 hours. Rinse.
– In a large saucepan, bring all ingredients except nutmeg to a boil. Simmer for 40 minutes or until vinegar is completely reduced. Add nutmeg and cook a few minutes longer. Let mixture stand to cool, then pour into jars.
