Chicken Flavored Green Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 tablespoon minced green onion | ||
| 1 10-ounce bag spinach, coarsely chopped | ||
| Water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3/4 cup regular long-grain rice | ||
| Ground red pepper | 1 Dash | |
| 1 chicken-flavor bouillon cube or envelope | ||
Directions
1. In 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot butter or margarine, cook green onion until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in spinach; cook, stirring constantly, just until spinach wilts. Spoon spinach mixture into bowl; set aside.
2. In same saucepan over high heat, heat water, rice, ground red pepper, and bouillon to boiling. Reduce heat to low; stir ingredients to mix well. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and all liquid is absorbed.
3. Stir spinach mixture into rice in saucepan; cook over low heat until heated through.
