Green Peas With Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 pounds fresh green peas | ||
| Mushrooms | 1/4 pound, sliced | |
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon, melted | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 whole pimiento, diced | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Whipping cream | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
MAKING
1) Shell the peas and wash them.
2) Drain out the water.
3) Take a frying pan and heat butter in it.
4) Sauté the mushrooms in it for 3 minutes.
5) Drain out the water, keeping ¾ cup of the liquid.
6) Add pimento, salt, sugar, peas, water and pepper.
7) Place lid and simmer for 8-12 minutes or until the peas become soft.
8) Add whipped cream and stir it in.
9) Cook for 1 minute more.
SERVING
10) Serve as required.
