Green Peas with Lettuce Recipe
Ingredients
| Canadian bacon | 1 Pound | |
| Vegetable oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Fresh green peas - 3 cups | ||
| White onions | 6 Small, peeled | |
| Inner leaves of lettuce head | ||
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, finely chopped | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a skillet heat vegetable oil and fry bacon until brown.
2. Add peas, onions, lettuce, water, salt, pepper, and sugar.
3. Cook covered for 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Drain remaining liquid when peas are cooked.
SERVING
5. Sprinkle parsley before serving.
