Ingredients

 500 gms. green peas shelled
 Onions spring5 , sliced
 2 cups finely shredded lettuce or young spinach
 Cheese1/2 Cup (16 tbs), grated
 Parsley sprigs1
 Mint sprig1
 1 cup/250 ml. vegetable stock
 Ground pepper1/2 Teaspoon (Leveled)
 Chilli powder1 Teaspoon
 Ground roasted cumin1 Teaspoon
 Plain flour1 Tablespoon
 Butter/Margarine1 Tablespoon
 Salt and sugar to taste
 Salt To Taste

Directions

1. Melt butter or margarine in a sauce pan. Add spring onions, fry for 1-2 minutes, add peas with salt, pepper, sugar, chilli powder. Mix well.
2. Add mint and parsley sprigs and stock or water. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Remove mint and parsley sprigs, add shredded lettuce. Stir well and cook for few minutes.
4. Combine together flour and cheese. Add a little at a time to the pea paste and mix gently with a wooden spoon until thickened.
5. Serve hot. Garnish with ground cumin.
