Green Peas Bonne Femme Recipe

Ingredients
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
1/2 lb (225 g) lardons
1/3 cup (80 ml) pearl onions
1/2 onion, finely sliced
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) frozen green peas
4 tsp (20 ml) sugar
Salt and pepper
Mint leaves
Directions
– In a stove-top casserole, melt butter and saute onions and lardons without browning. Add green peas, and sugar. Stir; cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
– Place in a serving dish, garnish with mint leaves, and serve.
