Green Pea Stew Recipe
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat, cubed
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 or 3 tablespoons salad oil or olive oil
3 cups meatless Italian gravy
6 cups shelled fresh peas or 3 packages (10 oz. each) frozen peas
Directions
Sprinkle meat with salt.
In a wide heavy pan, brown meat in oil.
Add gravy and peas.
Cover and simmer gently for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until meat is tender; stir stew occasionally.
