Green Mountain Deep Dish Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Corn flakes | 1 Ounce, crushed | |
| 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons nonfat dry milk | ||
| Artificial sweetener to equal 2 teaspoons sugar | ||
| Vanilla extract | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Dash nutmeg | ||
| Water | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Margarine | 1 Teaspoon, melted | |
| Apple | 1 Medium, sliced | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
In medium bowl combine first 8 ingredients in order given.
Press half of the cereal mixture in the bottom of a 2-cup casserole.
Set aside remaining mixture.
In small saucepan combine apple and water.
Cook until tender.
Remove apple slices from saucepan with a slotted spoon and reserve 3 tablespoons liquid.
Layer apples in baking dish.
Top with remaining crumbs and sprinkle with reserved liquid.
Bake at 325°F.
for 20 minutes.
Serve warm or chilled.
