Green Grape Cream Tarts Recipe
Ingredients
| Standard pastry, 1/2 recipe | ||
| Gelatine envelope | 1 (For filling :) | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (For filling :) | |
| Pineapple juice | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) (For filling :) | |
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) (For filling :) | |
| Lemon rind, 1/2 teaspoon (optional) | ||
| Lemon juice | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (For filling :) | |
| Cream or top of milk, 1/2 cup | ||
| Vanilla, few drops | ||
| Seedless grapes | 1 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (For filling :) | |
| Glazed cherries for decoration | ||
Directions
Prepare pastry dough and make 10 baked tart shells.
Soften gelatine in cold water.
Heat fruit juice and sugar together to boiling point.
Add softened gelatine, and stir until gelatine is dissolved.
Add lemon rind and juice.
Chill until mixture begins to thicken.
Whip cream and fold into gelatine mixture.
Add one cup grapes.
Pile lightly into pastry shells.
Chill until firm.
Decorate with 1/2 cup grapes and glazed cherries.
Will fill ten tart shells.
