Green Chilies Corn Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| Green chilies | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), canned | |
| Corn bread package | 1 | |
| 1 9-oz. can cream-style corn | ||
| 2 tbsp. bacon drippings | ||
| 1 c. shredded sharp American process cheese | ||
Directions
Drain, rinse and seed the green chilies.
Cut in strips and drain on paper towels.
Prepare the corn bread mix according to package directions and stir in the corn and bacon drippings.
Spoon half the batter into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Place chilies over batter and sprinkle with half the cheese.
Cover with remaining batter, then add remaining cheese.
Bake according to package directions.
