Green Beans with Bacon Recipe
Ingredients
| Canadian bacon slice | 2 | |
| Green beans | 1 Pound | |
| Tomatoes | 8 | |
| Sprig savory | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Half and Half | 5 Tablespoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
Broil or fry the bacon slices for 4 minutes on each side.
Trim the beans and cook in boiling water until just tender.
Drain.
Peel and quarter the tomatoes.
Cut each bacon slice in half and place in a flameproof casserole with the beans, tomatoes, savory, butter, cream and pepper.
Allow to cook over a moderate heat for about 5 minutes.
Remove the savory and stir in the chopped parsley.
