Green Beans Spanish Style Recipe

2 pounds green beans, washed and trimmed
 
1 medium size onion, diced
 
1 cup chili sauce
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
 
Grated Parmesan cheese
 
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions

Cook beans, covered, in small amount boiling salted water until just tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Fry bacon until crisp; remove from pan and saute onion until golden.
Add chili sauce and seasonings; simmer to combine flavors.
Pour hot sauce over hot beans and sprinkle with cheese and crumbled bacon.
