Ingredients
2 10-ounce packages frozen cut green beans
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 slices bacon
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
In a saucepan combine green beans, onion, water, and the 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Cook, covered, 10 to 15 minutes or till beans are tender.
Drain; keep warm.
Meanwhile, in skillet cook bacon till crisp.
Remove bacon, reserving drippings in skillet.
Crumble bacon; set aside.
Add vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and the 1/4 teaspoon salt to drippings in skillet.
Bring mixture to boiling.
Pour sauce over hot beans; sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
Toss lightly to coat.
