Green Beans Oregano Recipe
Ingredients
| Italian Green Beans - 1 packet of 9-ounce, frozen | ||
| Tomato, medium - 1 cup, diced | ||
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, finely chopped | |
| Oregano leaves | 1/4 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1) In a saucepan, add water, onions, celery, green beans and tomato.
2) Lower the flame and let the vegetables boil till the green beans turn slightly soft yet retain some of their crispiness.
3) Sprinkle salt, pepper and dried oregano.
SERVING
4) Transfer the Green Beans Oregano on a serving plate and serve hot as an appetizer.
TIPS
When you add frozen beans into the saucepan, it takes time to separate. Be patient and use a fork to gently separate them without breaking the beans.
