Green Beans and Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
2 pounds fresh green beans
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
1. Rinse the beans with cool water. Trim the ends, and cut into 1-inch pieces. Place the beans and the remaining ingredients in a 3-quart pot, and stir to mix well.
2. Bring the beans to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and, stirring occasionally, simmer for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the beans are just tender. (Add a tablespoon or 2 of water if the pot becomes too dry.)
