Green Beans Amandine Recipe

This Green Beans Amandine recipe is simply wonderful. I love making this dish as it is not only my children's favorite but mine too. You really should try preparing this Green Beans Amandine!

Ingredients

 
1/4, cup slivered almonds
 
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds fresh green beans, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
 
1/4 cup water
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
Dash nutmeg, optional

Directions

Combine almonds and butter in 2 cup glass measure.
Cook at HIGH 3 to 4 minutes, or until almonds are lightly browned; reserve.
In 2-quart casserole, combine beans and water.
Cook, covered with glass lid, at HIGH 8 1/2 to 10 minutes, or until beans are tender; stir once.
Add remaining ingredients, almonds and butter; let stand, covered, 3 minutes before serving.
