 Whole wheat flour2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 cups allpurpose flour
 Yeast2 Tablespoon
 Milk1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
 Orange rind2 Tablespoon, grated
 Butter/Margarine1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Anise seed1/2 Teaspoon
 Honey1//3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Eggs3 , beaten
 Egg1 , separated
 Milk1 Tablespoon
 Melted butter or margarine

Directions

Combine the flours and the yeast in the Bosch bowl.
Mix the 1 1/2 cups milk, lemon and orange rind, butter or margarine, anise seed, honey, and salt in a small saucepan.
Heat to 115° (lukewarm).
Add to the flour and yeast in the Bosch bowl.
Add the 3 eggs.
Knead for 10 minutes.
Turn dough out onto a lightly greased surface.
Pinch off about I cup dough, and set aside.
Roll remaining dough into a 12 x 18 inch rectangle.
Roll up dough, beginning at the 18 inch edge.
Form into a circle.
Position on a greased pizza pan or large baking sheet, pressing the two ends together.
Slightly beat the egg white, and brush the ring.
With the rolling pin, roll out the reserved 1 cup dough to '/4-inch thickness.
Using kitchen shears, cut out diamonds, hearts, flowers, strips for dainty braids, or other decorations.
Attractively position cutouts on the dough ring, and gently push into place so they will not come off as the bread raises.
Brush entire loaf with the remaining egg yolk mixed with 1 tablespoon milk.
Let rise 1 hour or until double.
Bake in a 350° F.oven for 45 minutes.
Remove from pan, and brush with melted butter or margarine.
