Greek Pizza Recipe
Ingredients
Nonstick cooking spray
1 16-ounce loaf frozen honey wheat bread dough or whole wheat bread dough, thawed
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup bottled light spaghetti sauce
2 10-ounce packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
2 cups chopped tomato
1 cup shredded reduced-fat Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese (2 ounces)
Directions
Lightly coat a 12-inch pizza pan or a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Press bread dough into the prepared pan, forming a 1-inch edge.
Prick dough several times with a fork.
Bake in a 375° oven for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.Meanwhile, in a large skillet cook ground beef, onion, and garlic about minutes or until meat is brown.
Drain fat.
Stir in spaghetti sauce; set aside.
Squeeze all of the liquid from thawed spinach.
Sprinkle the spinach over hot baked crust.
Spoon the meat mixture over spinach.
Sprinkle with tomato, Monterey Jack cheese, and feta cheese.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until cheese golden brown.
Remove from oven.
Let stand for 5 minutes.
