Ingredients

 Butter4 Tablespoon, softened
 Powdered sugar3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg1
 Half and Half2 Tablespoon
 Cake flour2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 1 egg yolk, lightly beaten
 Sesame seeds2/3 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and half-and-half.
2. Add cake flour mixed with baking powder and salt and beat on low speed until blended. Divide one fourth of dough into 9 portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a thin rope about 6 inches long, fold in half, and twist like a corkscrew. If dough is sticky, add a bit more flour.
3. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden. Remove to a rack and let cool completely.
