Great Granola Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 cups oats, either quick-cooking or old-fashioned | ||
| 1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts, preferably almonds and/or filberts | ||
| Wheat germ | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar | ||
| Honey | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Shredded coconut | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Apricots | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Raisins | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
1. Place oats in a 9-inch square baking dish. Microwave at Time Cook (power level 10) for 4 minutes, stirring twice. Mix in nuts, wheat germ, and brown sugar. Stir in honey and vanilla. Microwave, uncovered, at Time Cook (power level 10) for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring 3 times.
2. Add coconut, apricots, and raisins to cereal mixture. Stir occasionally as granola cools to break up. Store in a tightly lidded container.
