Great Catch Steamed Fish Recipe
Ingredients
| Fish | 1 2 Pound, dressed | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Bacon strip | 3 , minced | |
| 4 dried mushrooms, soaked until soft and then sliced | ||
| 2 green onions, cut in 3/4-inch pieces | ||
| 3 thin slices of ginger cut in 1-inch lengths | ||
| Cooking sherry | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Soy sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Make three crosswise slashes on each side of fish; rub both sides with salt.
Place fish on plate and cover with mushrooms, bacon, onion and ginger.
Pour on soy sauce and sherry; steam in steamer for about 20 minutes.
Save fish juice and put it in a saucepan-heat and thicken with cornstarch to make a sauce; pour over fish.
Decorate with parsley and serve hot.
Allow 1 fish per person.
