Grapefruit Ice Recipe
I am prepared to swear by this Grapefruit Ice recipe! I served it last weekend for my nephews birthday party. Needles to say I have received hordes of calls for the Grapefruit Ice recipe! Try it!
Ingredients
| Sugar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tablespoon grapefruit rind, grated | ||
| Water | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Grapefruit juice | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 teaspoon lemon rind, grated | ||
| Lemon juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add the grapefruit juice, grapefruit rind, lemon rind, and lemon juice.
Chill thoroughly.
Strain the mixture into the freezer container of an electric ice cream maker.
Follow the manufacturer's directions for freezing.
