Grapefruit Ring Mold Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 envelopes plain gelatin | ||
| Cold water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Hot water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 1/2-2 cups syrup from the grapefruit | ||
| Lemon juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Few drops green food coloring | ||
| Grapefruit | 2 Pound | |
Directions
1.
Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and dissolve in hot water over low heat.
Add sugar, syrup, lemon juice, and a bit of green food coloring.
Chill until the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.

Arrange half of the grapefruit sections in a ring mold and cover with some of the partially set gelatin.
Chill until firm.
3.
Arrange the rest of the grapefruit sections on the partly set ring and cover with the remaining gelatin.
Chill until firm.
4.
Unmold on a chilled platter, surround with torn-up salad greens tossed with a little French dressing, and serve with mayonnaise.
