Grapefruit Punch With Ginger Recipe
Ingredients
1 bottle (1 qt.) grapefruit soda
2 cups boiling water
1 tablespoon green tea leaves
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons thawed frozen orange juice concentrate (undiluted)
1 - inch piece of fresh ginger root
Directions
Several hours or the night before serving, freeze half of the grapefruit soda into cubes; recap soda.
Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves; steep 5 minutes.
Strain; stir in the 2 tablespoons sugar; cover and chill thoroughly.
To make punch, pour orange juice concentrate into a 2-quart pitcher.
Using a garlic press or fine wire strainer, press juice from the ginger into pitcher (about 1/2 teaspoon juice).
Pour in tea and grapefruit-soda ice cubes; stir in remaining 2 cups chilled soda.
