Grape Nut Pie Recipe
Ingredients
1 9-inch CHEDDAR CHEESE PIE CRUST baked
2 pounds Concord grapes
2 tablespoons warmed honey
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Wash grapes, stem, and remove skins.
Cook pulp about 10 minutes, then put through strainer to remove seeds, pressing to get all the puip.
Put skins through food chopper, using medium blade for coarse chopping.
Mix skins, pulp, and honey.
Combine cornstarch and orange juice, add to mixture.
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, then add lemon peel and cook until thick.
Spoon mixture into baked pie shell and top with walnuts.
Cool.
