Granola Rice Stuffing Recipe
Ingredients
| Orange | 1 Small | |
| Cooked rice | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup granola cereal | ||
| Apple | 1 Small, chopped | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Celery | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Peel and section orange over medium-size bowl to catch juice.
Chop orange sections (should have 1/3 cup); add to juice in bowl.
Add cooked rice, granola cereal, chopped apple, salt, and cinnamon.
Set aside.
In small saucepan cook celery and onion in butter or margarine till tender but not brown.
Add to rice mixture, tossing lightly till well mixed.
Use to stuff six 1- to 1 1/2-pound Cornish game hens (or two 2 1/2- to 3-pound broiler-fryer chickens) or bake, covered, in a 1-quart casserole at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.
