Grandmas Salmon Loaf Recipe

This tasty salmon loaf recipe is a delicious and time aged recipe that is a favotite with my family. Made with salmon mashed and mixed with vegetables, bulgar and eggs, it is baked and garnished with fresh parsley. That salmon loaf goes great with the sour cream dill sauce.

Ingredients

 Salmon1 Can (10oz)
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), pressed
 Celery1 Cup (16 tbs), diced
 Onion1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced
 Vegetable oil1 Tablespoon
 2 eggs lightly beaten
 1 cup cooked bulgur wheat
 Parmesan cheese1/2 Cup (16 tbs), grated
 Butter2 Tablespoon (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)
 Flour2 Tablespoon (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)
 Milk1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)
 Dill weed1 Teaspoon, crumbled (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)
 Onion powder1/4 Teaspoon (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)
 Dairy sour cream1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)
 Frozen peas1 Cup (16 tbs), thawed (1 tsp. thyme crumbled parsley for garnish Sour cream dill sauce:)

Directions

Drain salmon.
Saut 6 garlic, celery and onion in vegetable oil.
Mash salmon in a bowl.
Add sauteed vegetables, eggs, bulgur, cheese and thyme.
Mix until blended.
Turn into 9 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pan.
Bake in 350 degrees F oven 40 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes.
Turn onto serving plate.
Garnish with parsley.
Serve with Sour Cream Dill Sauce.
Sour cream dill sauce: Cook butter and flour 2 minutes.
Add milk and seasonings.
Simmer, stirring, 5 minutes.
Add sour cream, cook until heated through.
Stir in peas.
