Graham Gems Recipe
Graham gems are graham flour muffins. A considerably healthy snacky muffin, the graham gems are oven baked muffins prepared with a batter of milk, flour and eggs. These are best when served oven fresh!
Ingredients
| All purpose | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| 1 egg flour | ||
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Shortening | 3 Tablespoon, melted | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Baking powder | 3 Teaspoon | |
| 1 cup Graham or wholewheat flour | ||
Directions
Sift together flour, salt, brown sugar, and baking powder.
Stir in Graham or whole wheat flour thoroughly.
Beat egg vigorously in a separate bowl, then stir in milk and melted shortening.
Stir into flour mixture until blended don't attempt to beat out the lumps.
Pour into a greased muffin tin and bake in a preheated 400° oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick tested in the center comes out dry.
