Ingredients

 Water6 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 whole stewing hen (cleaned & trimmed)
 Ham2 Ounce, cut into cubes
 4-5 slices ginger 3 stalks green onion
 Pinch of white pepper salt to taste

Directions

Combine chicken and ham in a large pot.
Cover with water and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 1 1/2-2 hours.
Skim foam from soup frequently.
Add ginger, green onion, pepper and salt and continue to simmer for 1-1 1/2 hours.
Strain stock and discard bones and seasonings
