Gothambu Dosa Recipe

Gothambu dosa or wheat crepe is a healthier version of ari uzhunnu dosa (rice dosa) and it usually served for breakfast. This dosa is a boon to diabetics, who are told to avoid rice dosas in order to stay healthy.

Directions

GETTING STARTED
1. In a bowl add wheat flour, water, salt and stir well. Remove the lumps by stirring the batter continuously.

MAKING
2. Heat a non-stick pan, and pour a ladleful of batter and spread it towards the edges of pan. Turn dosa when it cooks on one side and cook until both sides get brown or crispy.

SERVING
3. Serve this gothambu dosa with chutney.

Another variation of this dosa is prepared by adding ingredients such as shredded coconut, turmeric powder and green chilies to the batter.
