Goteborg Limpa Recipe

|Active dry yeast||2 Tablespoon|
|Warm milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Whole wheat flour/Rye||5 Cup (80 tbs), sifted|
|All-purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted|
|Molasses||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Light)|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Grated orange rind||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|

Let cool until just warm.
Dissolve 2 pkgs. dry active yeast in 1 cup warm milk in a large bowl.
Blend together 5 cups sifted rye (or whole wheat) flour and 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour.
Stir 1 cup flour into yeast mixture.
Beat in cooled beer and 2 cups light molasses, adding remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, during this process.
Stir in 1 cup chopped walnuts and 1/4 cup grated orange rind.
Cover bowl with damp cloth and let rise 45 to 60 minutes, until doubled in bulk.
Punch down dough and divide evenly between 2 (9x5x3-inch) loaf pans.
Cover with damp cloth and let dough rise again until top is level with rim of pan.
Bake 1 to 1 1/4 hours at 375Â°, or until loaves sound hollow when tapped.
Remove from pans and cool completely on wire rack before slicing.
Note.- In most supermarkets or health stores, you will easily find rye or whole wheat flour.
This is a favorite sweet bread of the Swedes.
