Golden Syrup Sponge Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1/2 Pound | |
| Suet | 1/4 Pound | |
| Ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 teacupful milk | ||
| 1 teacupful Rogers' Golden Syrup | ||
| 1 dessertspoonful sugar | ||
| Soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Mix all the ingredients well together, put in a greased mold.
Put buttered paper on top, tie pudding cloth over top, and steam for 2 hours.
