Golden Oats Pilaf Recipe
|Old fashioned oats||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), uncooked (Quaker)|
|Oat bran hot cereal||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), uncooked (Quaker)|
|Mushrooms||3 Ounce, quartered to make 1 cup|
|Green bell pepper||1 Small, chopped|
|Sliced green onions||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Liquid vegetable oil margarine||1 Tablespoon|
|Canned low sodium chicken broth||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Tomato||1 Medium, chopped|

Saute mushrooms, green pepper and onions in margarine over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
Add oat mixture; cook over medium heat about 5 to 6 minutes, stirring constantly, or until oats are dry, separated and lightly browned.
Add broth; continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Stir in tomato; serve immediately.
