Ingredients
3 cups sifted whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup honey
1/4 cup molasses
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups golden raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Butter a l5 1/2 X 11-inch jelly-roll pan with a 1/2-inch rim.
Sift together into a medium-size bowl flour, baking soda, and spices.
In a large bowl, cream butter.
Beat in honey, molasses, and then eggs.
Stir in flour mixture until well blended.
Fold in raisins and nuts.
Spread batter in prepared pan, and bake on middle shelf of oven for 20 minutes, or until a cake tester or food pick inserted into the center comes out dry.
Cool in pan on a wire rack.
When cool, make 7 even cuts on the long side and 3 cuts on the opposite side.
