Golden Glow French Toast Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole wheat bread slices | 6 | |
| Eggs 2, slightly beaten | ||
| Rhubarb puree 1/4 cup sweetened | ||
| Milk | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Orange peel 1/2 teaspoon grated | ||
| Orange juice | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Cheerios 1/2 cup coarsely crushed | ||
| Margarine 1/4 cup, melted | ||
| Syrup or honey and butter | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°.
Dip the bread into a mixture of the next 8 ingredients; let slices soak up liquid.
Then press each slice on both sides into crushed cereal.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Drizzle margarine over top.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Use a mild-flavored syrup over the toast, or just honey and butter.
