Golden Fruit Loaves Recipe
Ingredients
1 package Butter Recipe Golden Cake Mix
1 1/2 cups chopped candied mixed fruit (6 ounces)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease and flour two 8 1/2 X 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pans.
Sprinkle 2 tablespoons dry cake mix over dried fruit; stir to coat.
Combine remaining cake mix, flour, baking powder and baking soda in large mixer bowl.
Add milk, eggs and butter.
Blend at low speed, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
Fold in fruit.
Divide batter evenly in pans.
Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pans on racks 20 minutes.
