Golden Coconut Waffles Recipe
Ingredients
| Plain flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 3 , separated | |
| Milk | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Maple syrup | 2 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Vegetable oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Coconut | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs), desiccated |
Directions
Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.
Beat the egg yolks until pale yellow, then mix with the milk and maple syrup.
Pour the egg yolk and milk mixture onto the flour and blend thoroughly.
Stir in the melted butter or vegetable oil-Allow to stand for at least an hour.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter with the desiccated coconut.
Fill a hot, lightly oiled waffle iron two-thirds full with the batter and cook until the steam no longer escapes from the sides.
