Golden Chiffon Pie Recipe
An empty belly is a great cook and golden chiffon pie is a great way to fill it. I will prepare this golden chiffon pie as dessert for a get-together I am soon going to host. Serve this golden chiffon pie at the table today and watch it disappear in delight!
Ingredients
1 9-inch CRUMB PIE CRUST prepared and baked in advance
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
2/3 cup cold water
3 egg yolks
5 tablespoons warmed honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup peanut butter
1 cup sour cream
3 egg whites
1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
Directions
Soak gelatin in cold water.
In a saucepan, beat egg yolks, add honey and salt.
Stir in gelatin and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and blend in peanut butter.
Add sour cream.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold into mixture.
Pour into pie shell and chill until firm.
