Golden Cheese Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| Active dry yeast | 1 | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 cup liquid Carnation Nonfat Dry Milk | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Shredded sharp Cheddar cheese | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Dissolve yeast in water.
Stir in sugar, liquid nonfat milk, butter, and salt.
Stir in 3 1/4 cups flour.
Knead on floured board until smooth and elastic; work in additional flour, about 8 minutes.
Place in buttered bowl; brush with butter.
Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled.
Punch down.
Turn out onto floured board.
Roll out to 12 x 14 inch rectangle.
Sprinkle cheese over dough.
Roll starting at long end; cut into 1-inch sections; cut sections into quarters.
Divide dough evenly between 2 buttered 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf dishes.
Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled.
Bake in slow oven (325°F.) 25 to 30 minutes.
