Gold Medal Oatmeal Recipe
Ingredients
| Rolled oats | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cold water | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dried apricots | 6 | |
| Raisins | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 apple, unpeeled and chopped | ||
| 5 prunes, pitted and chopped | ||
| Honey | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
Directions
Combine rolled oats and water.
Let stand 1 hour or overnight.
In separate bowl, combine apricots, raisins and prunes.
Cover with water.
Let stand 1 hour or overnight.
Drain liquid from fruit, reserving liquid.
Add water to make 1 1/2 cups.
Chop fruit.
Bring liquid to boil.
Add rest of ingredients.
Bring to boil, then simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring.
Serve topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
