Gnocchi with Quick Tomato Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Gnochhi - 350 g (12 oz), fresh and chilled | ||
| Parmesan cheese | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Basil leaves - Grated and torn | ||
| Tomato puree | 1/2 Tablespoon (For Tomato sauce) | |
| Canned tomatoes | 400 Gram (For Tomato sauce) | |
| Vegetable stock | 150 Milliliter (For Tomato sauce) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon (For Tomato sauce) | |
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste (For Tomato sauce) | |
| Salt | To Taste (For Tomato sauce) | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a saucepan place all the ingredients.
2. Boil.
3. Once boiled simmer for 20 minutes uncovered till the liquid reduces to a thick consistency.
4. Add seasonings.
5. In two shallow flameproof bowls add little sauce. Combine the drained gnocchi.
6. Mix the remaining sauce of the gnocchi.
7. Sprinkle cheese.
8. Grill 2 minutes till cheese is brown.
SERVE
9. Serve after sprinkling basil leaves.
