Gnocchi With Meat Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 lb. gnocchi (use either packaged )
 
3 tbsp. oil
 
1 medium onion, finely chopped
 
1 celery stalk, finely chopped
 
1 carrot, finely chopped
 
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
 
1/2 tsp. rosemary, chopped (1/4 tsp. dry)
 
1/3 cup chopped mushrooms
 
8 oz. ground beef
 
4 oz. finely chopped ham
 
4 oz. finely chopped chicken livers
 
1 tbsp. flour
 
1/2 cup red wine

Directions

Cook in boiling water until firm to the bite (al dente).
Drain and set aside.
Heat oil in large saucepan.
Add and saute until vegetables are soft.
Add and cook until meat is lightly browned.
Stir into above until well-blended.
Add and cook over medium heat for approx 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour over gnocchi.
